Badger Credit Union has been in operation for 73 years, since 1934. The credit union started as boxes hanging at Badger Paper Mill that the members could put their deposits or payments in. In 1965, Badger Credit Union finally built their own building. Until 1989, they were only able to process share deposits and loans. If the member wanted cash out of their account they had to take a check to the bank. Once Badger received their first computer, they were able to add share draft (checking) accounts. Badger Credit Union opened its charter to the public in 1996. The same year they also built a new building to accommodate for the new growth. Today we have many services and products that we can offer our membership and they are still growing.
